Channel Angels Invests In Identity and Access Management (IAM) Startup Evo Security

Channel Angels has invested in Evo Security, an Identity and Access Management (IAM) startup that empowers MSPs to safeguard small and midsize business (SMB) customer identities. The investment was part of Evo Security’s $3.9 million seed round. Key funding participants included Sorenson Ventures, Inner Loop Capital, Secure Octane and multiple strategic angel investors.

The Evo Security platform enables MSPs to manage IAM using a true multi-tenant architecture that combines MFA (multi-factor authentication), SSO (single sign-on), PAM (privileged access management), and Password Management.

The seed funding will help advance existing Evo Security capabilities, expand product features, and build a world class partner success and support team.

Evo Security Founder Michael Roth: We’re focused 100% on MSPs.

Evo Security , based in Austin, Texas, was founded by tenured entrepreneur, engineer, and investor Michael Roth. The Channel Angels investment team met with Roth during multiple MSP industry conferences throughout 2021, and witnessed extremely strong MSP partner interest in the Evo Security platform. Moreover, Channel Angels was impressed with Evo Security’s pure MSP go-to-market strategy — the company has vowed not to sell direct to SMB customers.

Explaining Evo Security’s commitment to MSP success, Roth said:

“With the attack surface expanding rapidly into the SMB space, and IAM emerging as the cornerstone of a zero-trust approach, it's time MSPs have a purpose-built solution that can easily fit into their managed stack. We're incredibly excited to draw a line in the sand and serve our MSP Partners in a way that is long overdue.”
