5. What types of companies does channel angels seek to fund?

Channel Angels typically invests in technology startups or tech-savvy businesses that have:

  • Partner-first sales models that leverage ISV, MSP, VAR and/or IT consulting engagements.

  • SaaS / recurring revenue-based financial models.

  • At least six months of revenue and/or six months of customer growth.

  • Note: We also consider pre-revenue investments based on additional factors such as market opportunity, intellectual property, leadership and more.

6. What investment stage(s) does channel Angels support?

We typically participate in Seed, Angel and Series A rounds. When we invest, we request pro-rata investment rights to potentially participate in follow-on rounds.

We either invest directly or via such platforms as Florida Funders, Angel List and Propel(x).

9. How frequently does channel ANgels make investments?

Channel Angels strives to make one to two investments per quarter. As of December 2022, we have 17 active investments and two exits. We expect our investment portfolio to eventually span 40 startups. And we’re capitalized to potentially invest in follow-on rounds with our existing portfolio companies.

We typically don’t sign non-disclosures on first contact. We consider signing such agreements if we decide to pursue deeper information (due diligence) about a funding opportunity.
